Soprano Anna Aistova holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Mannes School of Music. Her operatic roles include Musetta in La Bohème, Norina in Don Pasquale, La Fée in Cendrillon, Josephine in The Comedy on the Bridge, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and Calisto in La Calisto. Recent highlights include Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem. A finalist in the SAS Performing Arts Competition, she won Second Prize in the 2024 John Alexander National Competition. Upcoming engagements include Queen of the Night with Amore Opera and the soprano solo in Carmina Burana in Madrid.

Grace Bernard is thrilled to return to Amore Opera in this production of The Magic Flute. Originally from Los Angeles, California, she is a full lyric soprano based in New York City. Her recent credits include Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Carla in Mermaid in the Jar, Cunegonde in Candide, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and various scenes performances. She is currently continuing her studies at the Mannes School of Music under William Burden. She extends her gratitude to her mentor and friend, Andres (Andy) Ramirez.

Mezzo-soprano Inhye Choi holds an Artist Diploma and Performer’s Certificate from Montclair State University, a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor’s degree from Sookmyung Women’s University in South Korea. She made her operatic debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with the New Seoul Opera Company. Her roles include Mercedes in Carmen, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Mother Marie in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, and the Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte. She has appeared with festivals and companies across the United States.

Lauren D’Ottavio is thrilled to return to Amore Opera for this production of The Magic Flute. An Italian-American soprano based in New York City, Lauren holds dual B.A. degrees in Vocal Performance and Theater & Performance from Bard College, as well as an M.A. in Music Education with a focus in Vocal Pedagogy from Columbia University. Her recent operatic roles include Mother in Hänsel und Gretel, First Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Frasquita in Carmen, and Nannetta in Falstaff. Lauren also performs extensively in concert and musical theater repertoire. She studies voice with Terence Goff and coaches with Dr. Jocelyn Dueck.

Tenor Woojin Dong is currently working with Dr. Sherry Overholt and earned his Master’s degree studying with Dimitri Pittas at the Manhattan School of Music. He received his bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University under the tutelage of tenor Yonghoon Lee. His previous credits include Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with PSN and Amore Opera, Ferrando in Così fan tutte with UVAA, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi with QSVI, Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro, Schoolmaster/Mosquito in The Cunning Little Vixen with MSM, Albert in Albert Herring by Britten, and Ramiro in La Cenerentola by Rossini with ACSM. His upcoming performance includes Sam in Street Scene by Kurt Weill.

Jessie Downs is a soprano from New Jersey, now based in Buffalo, New York. Her performances have been described as “simply stunning” and “a tour de force.” Recent roles include Lucia in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Suor Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and Mimi in Puccini’s La Bohème. She received 3rd place in the 2020 North International Music Competition and made her Carnegie Hall debut at the 2018 Night of Inspiration. Upcoming roles include Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen and Marzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio. Jessie is thrilled to join the Amore Opera cast of The Magic Flute as Second Lady.

Xinran Du, a lyric soprano based in New York City, earned her bachelor’s degree and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where she studies with Neil Rosenshein and Joan Patenaude-Yarnell. She has appeared with Opera on Tap and The Opera Next Door and has participated in masterclasses with Frederica von Stade and Bruno Simone. Her upcoming roles include Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte with Amore Opera, Servilia in La clemenza di Tito at MSM, and Diane in Bound and the cover of Juliette in Roméo et Juliette at Opera Maine.

Hailed by Opera Canada for his beautiful phrasing and “soaring top notes,” Xavier makes his debut with Amore Opera as Tamino. As a boy soprano with the Vienna Boys Choir, he appeared as the First Spirit at the Vienna State Opera. This season, Xavier has been a resident artist with Teatro Nuovo, the tenor soloist in Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde, and the lead in Geoffrey Kidde’s The Machine Stops, and he also made his role debut as Don José in Carmen. He holds a double PhD in political theory and continues to teach at Columbia University and with the Bard Prison Initiative.

Jay Gould, bass-baritone, debuted with Amore Opera in 2010 as Baron Zeta in The Merry Widow. Roles with Amore include Sarastro and the Speaker in The Magic Flute, Scarpia and Sacristan in Tosca, Dick Deadeye in H.M.S. Pinafore, Frank in Die Fledermaus, Peter in Hansel and Gretel, Zuniga in Carmen, Bartolo in The Barber of Seville, the title role in Don Pasquale, Callistene in Poliuto, and Don Sebastiano in La Zingara. He has also sung widely with New York Opera Forum and appeared as bass soloist in Messiah at Avery Fisher Hall and in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at Carnegie Hall.

Originally from Southern California, baritone Charles Gray made his debut as Plagio with Amore Opera in 2011 in the American premiere of Saverio Mercadante’s I Due Figaro. Other roles with Amore Opera include Morales in Carmen, Schaunard in La bohème, and Tom in Un ballo in maschera. He has also appeared with various local companies in roles such as Leporello in Don Giovanni, Don Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Lescaut in Manon Lescaut. Beyond opera, his artistic focus extends to art song and sacred music.

Soprano Sea Jeong Jang, originally from South Korea, completed her Master of Music degree (2023) and Professional Studies certificate (2025) at the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed in productions of L’enfant et les sortilèges, Katie – The Strongest of the Strong, and Hänsel and Gretel, as well as in opera scenes from Le nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte. She also appears frequently in concert and recital.

Victor Jaquez is a tax accountant by day and opera singer by night. Soprano Yingxue Jiang was born in China and is currently pursuing her studies in Voice and Opera at the Mannes School of Music under the guidance of Laquita Mitchell. In the 2026 season, she will sing the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, the title role in Suor Angelica, and Micaëla in Carmen. She earned her BM and MM from Yonsei University under Moolim Kang, completed a PDPL at the Mannes School of Music with Diana Soviero, and is currently pursuing a DMA at Rutgers University under Judith Nicosia.

Anya Kosachevich is a first-generation Ukrainian-American soprano emerging as a vibrant young voice on the operatic stage. Born and raised in New Jersey and currently based in New York, she is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. Her operatic repertoire includes roles in Rusalka, Cendrillon, Roméo et Juliette, La Rondine, Idomeneo, Albert Herring, and Le nozze di Figaro. Deeply connected to her Ukrainian heritage, she is a frequent soloist with the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York and performs throughout the United States and Europe. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from New York University.

Hyune Kwon is a New York–based soprano and Doctoral Candidate (DMA) at Rutgers University. Her operatic roles include Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème, Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, Amahl in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Sara in Matteo Neri’s Escobar. She received the Grand Award from the Metropolitan International Vocal Competition and an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Kwon holds a Master’s degree from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University.

Alexis Lapreziosa is a lyric coloratura soprano from Philadelphia, PA, where she earned her Bachelor of Music from Temple University. She is delighted to return to Amore Opera as Papagena, having previously appeared in the chorus of La Bohème. Praised for her charming stage presence and sparkling voice, her operatic credits include Morgana in Alcina, Celia in Silla, Miles in The Turn of the Screw, Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore, as well as chorus appearances in Carmen and Iolanthe. Outside of performing, Alexis enjoys yoga, painting, reading, and spending time with her friends, family, and her cats.

Qin Li is a soprano from China, currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance at Stony Brook University, where she studies with Brenda Harris. She earned her Master of Music from the Mannes School of Music, studying with William Burden, and her Bachelor of Music in Voice and Opera Performance from the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Her operatic roles include Zerlina in Don Giovanni (full production), as well as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Bastienne in Bastien und Bastienne, and Marzelline in Fidelio (staged scenes). She also appeared as a singer in the Closing Ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Haruka Makino, originally from Yokohama, Japan, holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Tokyo College of Music. In addition to her musical career, she works as a full-time daycare teacher in New York City, where she shares her love of music with children every day.

Soprano Mheco Joy Manlangit, born and raised in the Philippines, holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from the University of Santo Tomas and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from New York University Steinhardt. A prizewinner in national and international competitions, she received First Prize and the Audience Choice Award at the 2018 Jovita Fuentes Vocal Competition and Second Prize at the 2017 Singapore International Festival of Music Competition. Her operatic credits include Maria Clara in Noli Me Tangere, Lady Billows in Albert Herring, and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. She is currently a DMA candidate at Stony Brook University.

Melaina Mills is a versatile artist dedicated to the craft of storytelling through song. A past winner of the Colorado/Wyoming district of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, she makes her debuts this season with Amore Opera and Regina Opera in New York City. In 2025, she performed at 54 Below and originated roles in two new operas with Red Horse Productions and The New Music Theatre Project. In the 2024 season, she sang the role of Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance and covered Rose Maurrant in Street Scene as an Apprentice Artist with Central City Opera. She earned her master’s degree in Opera Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Soprano Haojin Mo is a versatile and expressive artist in the CANTO Program at Florida Grand Opera. She was a winner in the Colorado-Wyoming District of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Her recent roles include Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte, Le Feu in L’enfant et les sortilèges, Lakmé in Lakmé, and Controller in Flight. Haojin holds degrees from the Mannes School of Music and the China Conservatory of Music and is currently pursuing her DMA at the University of Miami.

Elizabeth M. Moulton is delighted to return to Amore Opera in a role she last performed more than a decade ago. She was previously seen in productions of La Bohème and Un ballo in maschera with Amore. Elizabeth is no stranger to the local opera scene, having performed with Regina Opera Company, Chelsea Opera, SAS Opera, and New Amsterdam. Her favorite roles include Azucena in Il Trovatore, Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera, Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria rusticana, and Baba in The Medium. In her “spare” time, Elizabeth is an adjunct professor of music and a voice instructor at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Keunwon Park is a lyric baritone from South Korea, recognized for his expressive voice and versatility across a wide operatic repertoire. He earned his Bachelor of Voice from Seoul National University and his Master’s degree from the Mannes School of Music in New York, where he studied with Arthur Levy and Joshua Greene. He has also trained at the ICAV Intensive Voice Program in Montreal. His repertoire includes works by Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti, and Verdi. Keunwon has appeared in contemporary operas such as Vinkensport and The Dybbuk, and most recently performed the role of Schaunard in La Bohème with Regina Opera in Brooklyn.

Renna Popli is a lyric soprano from California currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Vocal Performance at NYU, where she studies with Jamilyn Manning. Nivi Ravi is excited to make her Amore Opera debut as Papagena. She has been praised for her “graceful operatic” voice, which “stirs audiences” and elicits “goosebumps.” She made her professional debut as Iphigenia the Younger in the domestic tour of Iphigenia, a new opera by Wayne Shorter and Esperanza Spalding. She also premiered the role of Night in O-Lan Jones’ opera Iceland at La MaMa Experimental Theater. She has worked with the American Opera Project and has been recognized by the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society’s Young Musicians Program and the National YoungArts Foundation.

Narantsetseg Ren is an internationally award-winning mezzo-soprano and cultural ambassador whose artistry weaves together diverse cultural roots from around the world. She was raised on the Xilin Gol Mongolian Steppe, where singing is a daily ritual. In 2024, she was honored with the Passim Iguana Music Award and the National Finlandia Foundation’s Annual Artist Award. Opera Canada’s associate editor Joseph So expressed a “soft spot” for her artistry (Ludwig Van Toronto).

American soprano India Rowland has been praised for her “full command of the stage and fetching demeanor, combined with a warm timbre [that] has made her a real discovery” (South Florida Classical Review) during her performance as Cherubino with the Miami Music Festival. Other highlights include Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Utah Vocal Arts Academy, Phaino in here be sirens by Kate Soper, and Zina in Dark Sisters. India earned her Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and her Master of Music from Mannes. While at Oberlin in 2014, she was named a YoungArts Winner in Classical Voice.

Angela Scorese is thrilled to join Amore Opera and return to The Magic Flute after breaking opera’s digital barrier as the Queen in Spooky Goose Opera’s 2020 virtual production. Post-COVID credits include Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, Sophie in Werther, Servilia in La clemenza di Tito, Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, and Adele in Die Fledermaus with NY Opera Forum, as well as 2nd Woman/1st Witch/Mercury in Dido & Aeneas. She has also performed extensively in Gilbert & Sullivan, including Phyllis in Iolanthe, the title role in Princess Ida, Yum-Yum in The Mikado with Ridgewood G&S, and Hebe in Utopia Limited’s H.M.S. South Korean soprano Jihye Seo is based in New York City. In 2022, she made her New York debut as Diana in Francesco Cavalli’s La Calisto. She has also performed the roles of Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Amore in L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Dama in Macbeth with Teatro Nuovo. Jihye has performed extensively throughout the U.S. at venues including Carnegie Hall, New York City Center, WQXR NY Classical Music Radio Station’s Young Artists Showcase, the German Consulate at UN Plaza, and the Seoul Arts Center. She graduated from Seoul National University and the Mannes School of Music, where she studied voice with Arthur Levy.

Mezzo-soprano Julie Silva returns to Amore Opera after singing Suzuki in Madama Butterfly this past spring. She was recently seen with the Washington National Opera Chorus in Aida and made her Off-Off Broadway debut in the new musical Dunyeti at the Hudson Guild Theater. Julie is delighted to revisit Mozart this season; past Mozart roles include Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro and Annio in La clemenza di Tito. Praised for his “warm tone and deep expressiveness,” David Smolokoff is a Manhattan-based operatic tenor and soloist. He recently appeared as Spoletta in New York City Opera’s production of Tosca, and last summer performed the role of Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance with Light Opera of New Jersey. Hanqing Sun, soprano, was born in Zhengzhou, China. She studied voice with private teachers from an early age and earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Boston Conservatory. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree at the Mannes School of Music, where she studies with Wendy Bryn Harmer. Her operatic training includes partial role study of Despina in Così fan tutte, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, and Sophie in Werther at the Boston Conservatory. She also served as the cover for Singer No. 2 in La Passion de Simone with Mannes Opera.

Zachary Tirgan is a New York City based tenor who performs with Bronx Opera and other local companies, while also maintaining an active career as a songwriter and frontman for the international indie rock project Nouhi’s Nomad. His ability to move fluidly between operatic repertoire and contemporary music reflects a strong commitment to storytelling, musical versatility, and expressive clarity.

Vee Visnov, soprano, is based in New York City and holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance from the Crane School of Music (2016). Their credits include Oberto in Alcina at Chicago Summer Opera; Servillia in La clemenza di Tito and Elettra in Idomeneo at Singthrough Central; Chorus in La Bohème and Don Giovanni at Amore Opera; and Erste Knabe in Die Zauberflöte at the Trentino Music Festival. Vee won second prize at the 2024 Charleston International Music Competition and was a 2023 finalist in the Music International Grand Prix. They also perform with TRANScend NYC and the Opera Collective and have served as makeup designer for many operas, including this production.

A native of Odesa, Ukraine, bass-baritone Gennadiy Vysotskiy specializes in both the standard operatic repertoire and the popular songs of the Ukrainian, Neapolitan, Yiddish, and American traditions.
Before emigrating to the United States, Gennadiy graduated from the Odesa School of Music and appeared in several classic films with the legendary Odesa Film Studio.
His New York operatic roles include Mephistopheles in Faust (Gounod), Leporello in Don Giovanni, Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia, King René in Iolanta, and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte. Additional American engagements include the title role in Don Giovanni in Ann Arbor and Boris in Boris Godunov in San Francisco.

Tom Walters is a New York City–born jugendlicher heldentenor who has appeared in numerous productions, including Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, Il tabarro, Ariadne auf Naxos, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Amahl and the Night Visitors, The Threepenny Opera, Whitney George’s No Man’s Land, David Winkler’s Rossini Perduto, Timothy Lee Miller’s The Bird Lady, and Tom Bo’s Shadows of the City. He is making both his role and company debut as Tamino with Amore Opera.

Xiaochun Yao, a Chinese soprano, is currently pursuing the Professional Studies Diploma at the Mannes School of Music. She is a graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music in China. She will make her role debut as Papagena in The Magic Flute with Amore Opera.

Hana Yiu is a contralto from Hong Kong, currently based in New York. She earned her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from The Hartt School and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Noteworthy performances include the Witch in Engel Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, the Mother in Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Florence Pike in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring. Last season, she covered the role of Mrs. Atkins in Teatro Grattacielo’s world premiere production of Beyond the Horizon.

Eric Kramer’s 2025–26 season conducting appearances in New York include productions with Utopia Opera (in collaboration with the UK’s Forbear! Theatre), Amore Opera, and Bronx Opera. In previous seasons, he has served as music director of the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble and Collegium Westchester.
In Europe, he has been an assistant conductor with the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Opéra National de Lyon, and has guest conducted the Berlin Sinfonietta, the Sorrento International Music Festival Orchestra, the Solti Chamber Orchestra, and the Moravian Philharmonic.
As a teenager, his compositions were performed by ensembles including the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. In his twenties, he pursued physics. He continues to compose and perform as a keyboardist.
Martin Everall welcomes another opportunity to work with Amore Opera, where he previously had the privilege of portraying Scrooge in Amore founder Nathan Hull’s Scrooge and appearing in Gilbert and Sullivan under Hull’s direction. He first met Hull when performing the same role years earlier with Village Light Opera (VLOG). Everall is the founding Artistic Director of Lightning Strikes Theatre Company in SoHo, where he directed numerous productions, including the New York premiere of Woody Allen’s God, Richard Greenberg’s The Maderati, G. B. Shaw’s Jitta’s Atonement, and multiple works by Christopher Durang, including Baby with the Bathwater, Titanic, and the twelve-play omnibus Durang by the Dozen: No Guns No Sofas.
Recently, he presented a sold-out evening of Gilbert & Sullivan excerpts for the Westport Women’s Club. As a performer, he has appeared in full productions of all fourteen Gilbert & Sullivan operas, singing seventeen different roles with companies such as Blue Hill Troupe, Utopia Opera, VLOG, Ridgewood G&S, Connecticut Troupers, Crystal Opera, and Savoynet at the UK International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival. He has also performed the role of the Pasha in Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio.
